HOW WE DIFFER

Saving every drop.

Water is a finite gift of the weather. We catch it, store it, and send it down to the roots — letting the land and the plants do the rest.

01

In the UK, as in the world, we are experiencing extreme weather conditions. Our focus for 2026 is to facilitate and install an increased number of water storage solutions, with what we have to work with. We currently have water butts and use soaker hoses in many places.

02

We lean heavily into growing shrubs, trees and perennials - once established these can sustain periods of drought, using our precious water commodity sparingly.

03

When we water, we do so for longer but less frequently, allowing the water to penetrate the soil's lower levels. This encourages plant roots to explore further down, producing stronger plants that are far more resistant to disease. Soil life remains at these roots, facilitating nutrient uptake. Shallow watering keeps only the surface damp, and soil life struggles.
